  • You’re covering Rankin Bass’ Rudolf and you haven’t heard of their Jack Frost? Admittedly it’s not as well known as Rudolf but it’s worth looking up. The Rankin Bass specials have been mainstays on North American TV.

There’s a clip of Jack Frost on YouTube:

There’s a number of cheap releases about, mostly on VHS. But some of them have alot of video problems. It seems most of Rankin Bass’ catalogue fell into public domain, at least for a while, but WB seems to have picked up the masters.

Although Rankin Bass has been best known for their stop motion, I’ve always been a fan of their hand-drawn animation.

    There’s more info at: http://www.rankinbass.com/
